Microsolidarity Gathering,

Denver CO, Oct 26-29

“How can we support each other to build communities of belonging, partnership & purpose?”

Microsolidarity is a practice for building small high-trust communities. We create spaces where people develop relationships of mutual support & belonging & purposeful action. Microsolidarity communities start with a kind of emotional intimacy (authentic, supportive relationships) and some of them graduate into economic intimacy (sharing money or resources).

This gathering is an opportunity to learn a lot of practical skills, find deep personal insights, and connect with a truly inspiring network of community builders.

What to expect

The gathering is hosted by Richard D. Bartlett, Natalia Lombardo & Drew Hornbein. You’re warmly invited to join us if you are: a microsolidarity practitioner, community-builder, facilitator, organiser, founder, convener. If your mission is to bring people together in caring purposeful relationships, this is the space for you.

As hosts, we’ll provide “the container”. This means we take care of the logistics and we’ll hold the minimum viable agenda: opening, closing, and some key moments throughout the retreat.

The container is filled by whoever shows up! Most of the agenda will be constructed by all the participants. We use “Open Space Technology” so you can explore whatever topics are most interesting to you. This could be skill-sharing workshops, discussions, movement practices, games, sauna time, or whatever you want to do. As hosts, we’ll offer workshops alongside everyone else. You decide where you want to lead and where you want to follow.

At the last gathering there were workshops on topics like: how to create psychological safety, collective decision-making, peer coaching, power dynamics in teams, parenting in the partnership paradigm, and how to run good meetings. We also did a lot of playful stuff like kayaking, dancing, camera play and an impromptu choir.

When
The gathering starts in the afternoon of Wednesday October 26th and closes after lunch on Saturday October 29th. We’ll also have opportunities to connect online before we meet physically so we can get to know each other.

Food & Accommodation
Tasty nutritious meals are included in the ticket price, from Wednesday dinner until Saturday lunch. Accommodation is in shared rooms, mostly with 2 beds per room. If you need a private room, or you want to share a bed as a couple, contact us before you register so we can check capacity.

Where
Sanctuary Of The Inner Compass at Everland, 50 minutes south of Downtown Denver, Colorado. 676 Pine Creek Rd, Sedalia, CO 80135, United States. (Map)

Update October 2nd: SOLD OUT

All of the accommodation spaces are now full, so there are no more tickets for guests staying at the retreat centre. If you have another place to stay, you can still join us, just buy an offsite ticket. We ask you to commit to joining for the duration of the event, rather than dropping in at different points in the agenda.
